TRACS ACCREDITATION

Spirit and Life Seminary is a member of the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) [15935 Forest Road, Forest, VA 24551; Telephone: (434) 525-9539; e-mail: info@tracs.org/, having been awarded Candidate Status as a Category I institution by the TRACS Accreditation Commission on April 23, 2024. This status is effective as of January 1, 2024, and is valid through December 31, 2028. TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (ED), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE).

AETH CERTIFICATION

Spirit & Life Seminary has received certification from the Association for Hispanic Theological Education (AETH). The Certification that AETH grants is recognized by the Association of Theological Schools. This Certification recognizes that Spirit & Life Seminary’s Ministry and Theological Studies program meets the expectations of equivalence of studies at the university baccalaureate level and indicates compliance with educational and institutional standards. The certificate warranties the relevance and top quality of the programs offered by the educational entities. 

THEC AUTHORIZATION

Spirit & Life Seminary is authorized by the Tennessee Higher Education Commission. This authorization must be renewed each year and is based on an evaluation of minimum standards concerning quality of education, ethical business practices, and fiscal responsibility.

How much is the application fee?

A $50 fee is required with the submission of an application.

Can my application fee be refunded?

A. Unfortunately, we are unable to refund application fees once they have been submitted.

What does the application process consist of?

First, apply and submit the application fee. Then, have someone fill out your recommendation form. Next, have your high school or undergraduate level transcripts sent to us, or take an ATB test if applicable. Lastly, sign documents and fill out a background check form if applicable. Who can complete my recommendation form?

 We request a ministerial recommendation. This type of recommendation can be completed by your pastor, a church elder, or a church leader that is a licensed minister (not a family member).

What type of transcript do I need to send?

We require that transcripts be sent to us directly by the school. Transcripts from a high school or an accredited undergraduate school are acceptable.

What if I started college but did not finish?

We will accept transcripts that demonstrate that at least one undergraduate course has been taken.

I did not go to school in the U.S., what are my options?

We will accept international transcripts as long as it is an official transcript sent to us directly from the school. If the school or institution is not able to send your transcript, an entrance exam is available, called an Ability to Benefit Exam. What if I did not graduate from high school?

Is Spirit and Life Seminary an accredited school?

The AETH Certification not only contributes to the improvement of the quality of the programs offered to ministry leadership but also opens doors for graduates of those programs to continue master’s level studies in ATS member seminaries that accept such certification as a valid criterion and sufficient for admission to such programs. Certification warrants the relevance and top quality of the programs offered by the educational entities. In addition, Spirit and Life Seminary is currently working towards receiving accreditation.

Where are classes held?

Courses are offered completely online.

What platform is used for online classes?

We currently use Populi to manage all of our online courses.

Where is Spirit and Life Seminary located?

Spirit and Life Seminary’s main offices are located at 3800 Keith St NW, Cleveland, TN 37312. However, classes are available completely online.
